We got "red eyes" flight aswell, will arrive to Cancun at 6:30am. And have flight back at 7pm. I hope we can check out and just stay at resort untill our transportation will come to pick up us.
Yeah, we checked in one year at about 4AM. No room but got our bands so we were good. Left the bags with the bell boys and hit the buffet for breakfast They charge you only if you don't give up your room by noon. If you can't find a friend, or don't want to dirty their towels, there are showers in the bathrooms by the sports pool and you can use the beach towels to dry off with. Oh.. and about the bell boys... USE THEM!!!!!! Give them at least a dollar a bag and they take you right to your room first time. They make sure everything works and if there is a problem they will call the front desk for you. I don't know how many times I've seen people carrying really heavy bags (at least 2 per person) up and down the stairs, back and forth across PadyO's trying to find their room in order to save maybe 5 bucks.
