I've always been under the assumption that they quiet pool was called that because there was no music being played and the entertainment staff didn't run any activities. I'm sure there is no rule about you needing to actually be quiet there. I would think most folks who really want to nap, read, sunbathe, etc are on the beach. Having said that, I'm leaning more towards staying put at the sexy pool. We always take over a section of the sexy pool as it is!
Fyi... As someone who's always had a quiet pool room, i do know that our group would probably ve frowned upon if iccured often, but one or two days... No problemo senor... Plus its the side with more balcony shows lol Sent from my SGH-I337M using Tapatalk 4
I would be a favour of day at the quiet pool. For me, I find the music adds energy to the party, the games give us some diversion and something to talk and laugh about and let's face it......that's where we all met and formed friendships. There are always new people to meet and connect with. The other issue I would see, is does it make us seem withdrawn and cliquish. One thing I have always found about the crew is they are anything but. I have been other times (and even somewhat with the group from Quebec) when a group segregates itself from the main party and they seem unapproachable. I don't see that as a culture of the Chaos Crewe and I'm not suggesting it would be that......but it may be perceived as that. Just my 2 cents. So looking forward to seeing everyone!! :lotsofmichaelfs:
I agree with and can see what everyone is saying and one of my biggest fears was being exclusionary. One of the main reasons that we bring the beer pong table is so we can meet new people that have never heard of the site and I've always been proud of how welcoming our group has been to newbies. It seems like the consensus may be trying it a day or two or splitting it or just playing it by ear. As to the heated pool. Last year it wasn't heated at all and the year prior when they started it it wasn't heated but half the time. I haven't heard any mention of it this year. I've honestly never been there during the day and I was going off the assumption that the quiet pool wasn't actually used all that much since all the chairs are gone from the sexy pool early and it's the only place I've ever been during the day. If it's as used as the sexy pool I can see how it may be a detriment. I did forget about the music aspect of it so if someone had a docking station or something that may help but without it I could see it being, well, quiet. Great feedback everyone, I'm glad it's sparking interest on both ends of the spectrum. I get in on the 28th so I'll talk with the people there that night and see if we want to give it a shot the next day. If not, like Christa said the corner of the sexy pool will always be ours! As I've said many times in the past I go to TTR for the people, if we were hanging out in a Chuck E Cheese parking lot for 2 weeks that would be perfect. (As long as we had the beer pong table and Lingerie night!) :lotsofmichaelfs:
Just finished last nights Daily Show so I finally got that reference. I need to stop getting all my news from a comedy network!
Picked up a rechargeable, portable speaker today. Tried it out and it sounds pretty good. Should be useful for tunes around the pool. It's got bluetooth and audio jack so if anyone has music on their phones/ipods etc that they want playing, they're more than welcome. For those who were there last year, I promise it's much louder than the radio we brought last time!
Yay we can actually hear it! I will load up my phone with tunes! Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk
Not so sure a player around the quiet pool is a good idea. Talking should be ok but for people that go to the quiet pool to get away from the music? I think playing music there is a bit much. Good for sports pool or paty o though!
