The 9th would be great since we get in on the 8th. Can't wait to see you and all the December crazies. Third year in a row. It would be great to have a cruise on Marlene's birthday even though the ocean is not real kind to her. Less than 2 months and can't come to soon.
Yes, that would be nice...Marlene's a trooper but last year I even had a rough time moving around the boat. However, she always reminds me that she enjoyed the best seat in the house at the front corner of the boat....especially when it was time to go swimming. :icon_wink:
does the boat make her sick? does she get easily sea sick? that is my one concern i've been sick on boats if the water is too choppy, and i'm thinking drinking would only exacerbate that.
Marlene don't forget to wear your Nebraska t-shirt because I think we are going to need all the help we can get. See you guys in December.
This time of year and can be hit or miss. Sometimes the weather is abolutley gorgeous sometimes not and sometimes it can be half and half as the day progresses. I know alot of people use those dramamine patches. Another tip is to take the big liters of water that they leave in your room with you. There is alot of drinking and with the sun as well you want to make sure your hydrated so you can enjoy the full experience instead of hanging your head over the side for the trip back!
The best thing I have found is Transderm Scop (scopolamine 1.5mg) patch. I have never had anyone get sea sick using the patch. If I think anyone will get sea sick I make sure they put on a patch the night before. The patch has a tendency to make your mouth seem dry which would be good on a boob's cruise. The patch is good for 3 days. I will bring a patch along. Don't arrive until the afternoon of the 8th. If there is a cruise on the 9th someone is welcome to use it. Need a prescription to get the patch.
We bring Ginger pills and last year George (I think) gave her Dramamine pills the morning of the cruise - definately helped. She has gotten seasick in the past and doesn't feel great on the boobs cruises but hasn't gotten sick on any of them yet however she does not overdo it. In past years she stood up and hung on to the railing. Last year's boat had very low railings so she just sat down at the front of the boat.
You guys are the newbies to the conference so we dislike you the least :icon_lol:. She wears it when you play Wisconsin, Ohio St, or Michigan. Talking about Michigan....ha ha ha.
