I wonder if they'd change the whole thing so that the gay folks couldn't go anymore? That'd suck, since so many of the coolest party people are gay, both male and female. I think that if they could figure out how to get a grip on the swarms of single guys - who already know one another and work in packs - and block that somehow, they'd be well on the way to fixing the perceived "problem" with singles. Note: Nobody ever seems to complain about single ladies, LOL!
I agree it's the large groups of single guys that end up acting like jack asses and ruin everyone's trip. We've met some great single folks and had a blast but have also been when there were large groups and it definitely made the trip not as fun.
As with other concerns I HIGHLY recommend that people email the resort directly to voice your concerns. CCC is obviously a VERY large repeat client base to the resort and we deserve (as such a large group) for them to hear our comments and concerns. If you are really concerned, as we should be, SPEAK UP! I just emailed them hope you guys do too!
Agree with the above. Went to our favorite Atlanta oldies bar (Johnnys Hideaway) last Saturday nite and guess who caused 99% of the trouble ??? A large group of young single guys attending a batchelor party. Hey, it keeps the bouncers with a good paying job and really provided a lot of quality entertainment for us older folks.
Im with others on here....just block the big groups of single men that seem to cause the ruckus and all would be well..
I am single and travel agents and even Temptations has given me a quotes for my trip, infact Temptations has emailed me several times....if they are going couples they are doing it after November........when they changed the name there was a lot of speculation then.....but nothing......I will not worry......
they answered on their facebook page saying not to worry they were not going to couples only. I asked n they answered
It may be a posting on UK sites to discourage large groups of males from booking. I read Steve's receipt it did say, couples only, they will not accept single male or large group of males booking. Nothing about females. So it may be an attempt to discourage them from the outset. I did talk to the GM last year and the subject came up as a question as to what I thought but he was very clear to make sure I knew that he was just taking a poll and that there was nothing in the works to head in that direction. Granted that was a year ago, and a lot could change, by I'm still not seeing it... Jamie
If it changes - we will know when it does. There will be no questions answered, much speculation and rumor until then. We asked the resort 4X, by email, over the phone, upon check-in, and through a booking agent at Expedia, and only when we got the note under our door stating the hot-tub at TTR Cabos would be closed for the next 14-days due to a plumbing issue was when the 3-month long rumor became verified.* This charade of the the management of Original Resorts denying everything is par for the course. With the months of March, April & May basically being sold out and overbooked perhaps they are thinking they don't need the singles and by going to only 2 people to a room instead of 3 like many of the singles do, they will increase revenues per head. We've met some great singles but would welcome the change. *The entire hot tub was re-tiled prior to the opening of Desire. This was rumored to happen for 3-months but everyone denied it, they all knew, and all denied it. They denied it 2-days prior to the note when we checked in. It was not scheduled, a plumbing issue, they said.
