Aye, and there's the rub. Last year was our first year, and we didn't meet too many CCC'ers until we'd been there a few days. We really did use our chairs, as the water was a bit nippy most of the week (we were there in early March). I'm hoping the weather will be warmer and we'll run into more CCC'ers now that we're going in November. Then we won't worry about having chairs! =)
Always a shortage of chairs around any pool at any resort. I dont uderstand why the resort doesnt build a shelving unit with individual boxes, so people can store there stuff. lets face it, your either in the pool, bano, or restaurant anyway, all you want the chair for is your stuff.
ok so simple solution that maybe someone who has contact with the staff could check into. Why not have a spot or small bins/lockers of some kind in the same location as the towel hut where people can put there things so that they are out of the sun, you don't have to worry about strange people just sitting and looking through your effects, and there is no worry about just leaving crap under or on chairs for the people that really want to sit or lay on them. I know when we went we had 2 chairs. One for each of us most of the time I was in the water but the wife was on the chair. I do like to be able to lay out next to her and relax enjoying the shows together being able to get out of the sun under an umbrella also. There does come a point though where common courtesy plays a part on both ends. If you know your gonna be in the water and you see people looking, offer up your spot or move it to the side where it wont get wet. You could also talk to others that you know are down there and check your effects under their chair. If you are looking for a spot and just throw someones stuff on the ground I have to agree with Jamie.... your just being a jackass and are going to do nothing but piss me off. No one wants to get out of the pool and put on a wet t-shirt when you decide to go get something to eat. Common courtesy, thats all. If you know you are not gonna be there for hours let someone else use the chair. They can use it for those hours and by that time they will have had enough to drink and will go back to nap or eat and at that time you can nab your chair you were eyeing out before.
A set of lockers would be a great idea. I read Kindle in the morning, but by afternoon there's more intersting stuff going on! Annoying having to go all the way back to the room just to put the Kindle away!
cabo TTR had lots of beds around the pool that everyone wanted and used. chairs just hold stuff we agree. doesnt sound like many beds around cancun??
Same here. We're usually in the pool all day, playing sand volleyball or at the sports pool playing volleyball. The wife and I usually only need one chair or we just see if we can can share a chair or table of someone we know or just met and then throw our personal items on or under the chair or table.
We too have been to TTR Cabo and enjoyed the beds around the pool - No beds around the pool in Cancun. There are beds on the beach and about 6 around the Sports pool.
I came looking for this topic this morning about to ask whether there were day beds around the pool. Thanks!
