Mmmmm is that a camera your holding ?? People can get real pissy about cameras round the pool .......
Easy way I've found to deal with chair hoggers: go down to the pool whenever you're ready, and if there's no chairs with nothing on them, locate a couple of chairs that have a t-shirt reserving them, but nobody on them (if it's a reasonable time, say after 12pm, when the people who have reserved them should be on them by now). Sit down. If (or when) people come up and look awkwardly at you for sitting on their chair, smile brightly, introduce yourself and say you were using them whilst they were empty, and give them up. Then, look around and I guarantee you'll see another set of empty chairs you can move to. That's what I do. Only once has it been awkward. I just wish that the resort would provide lockers, or an area you could keep your stuff without putting it on a chair. I'm in the pool 90% of the time, and asides from clogging up that area right by the palm tree next to the swim up bar, I have nowhere to store my stuff!
That's a safe use of the chairs, they say you aren't supposed to get back in the water right after you eat
Never had a chair issue. Yeah they fill fast, get there early and grab one. TTR folk don't bite. If ones not avail ask to put your stuff down, works for us all the time. Just like a crowded bar, great way to meet a new group of people. Do I smell a hazmat theme night? Lol hope not
Need to take it easy a bit. The chairs are first come first serve. Saving them is allowed. So in your opinion people that save chairs are half brain idiots? How would you know if someone put their stuff out the night before or 5 minutes before you got there. I think the major issue seems to be people that save chairs and don't use them. I personally try and save a couple chairs when possible and I actually use the chair I'm actually a pretty smart guy, not an idiot. When I don't use it I remove my items. Its all about being courteous. Throwing people stuff off of a chair isn't a great way to make friends and could start unwanted fights.
I agree. The same problem exists at virtually all vacation locations, resorts and cruise ships. I have no problem with some getting up early and reserving chairs for them and their friends. I do hate to get out and see a bunch of chairs being reserved and nobody showing up or showing up 4 or 5 hours later , when someone could have been using the chairs in the meantime. And I agree, its a question of courtesy, if people aren't coming then let someone else use the chairs. We have even gone so far as to say let us use the chairs and when your friends show up we'll move .
Now that we've gone to TTR multiple times (and know so many people), we can almost always find someone we know that is sitting around the pool that will let us keep our stuff by their chair (and vice-versa)...people need to remember that TTR is about being friendly/social, not about being vindictive...relax and don't take things so seriously!
