I used mexicosimcard.com great service and I payed $65 for 1.5gb data 200 mins to canada/us and 200 text messages. I thought it was a great deal..

 

I just call them the day before and they set it up automatically to go back to my regular plan when we return.. doesnt cost anything the price of the Canada/Mexico (anytime plan) is the same price as my plan at home..its really easy to do

We were there the last week of March and the Pirates bar was definitely closed unless they moved it

 

Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered 250 mins + 1GB data for $60 US from them including Telcel sim.

 

Yeah Rome loaded up two of our unlocked phones with money, too. My poor, poor iPhone 5s will have to stay safely at home in Winter Garden. My poor baby!!!!!! (I actually kind of hate iPhone but it has all my apps and shite on it SO...)

 

I called on sprint plan... Changed it to international w them for the time we would be there. Shut off data as soon as we got there, but left it on for voice only. We texted to USA they got our messages, but we could not receive any back. I called for 8 min it was $2.25 a min.

 

Wow, thought Sprint had better pricing. Rogers (Canada) international plan includes free talk and text and works in and outgoing. There are 2 carriers in Cancun., maybe your phone picked the wrong one. Wendy's phone picks the right one always, I have to choose manually with mine.
