Hey , the entire debate about phones and photos can be summed up as...respect for one another. I think in the past there was respect and understanding. I think we are losing it and it is somewhat generational but not all. It is also just plain ignorance of not knowing the rules...not only those posted, but also the unwritten “respect” rule. Also us older folks need to understand that the younger visitors have grown up with phones in hand and they are an instrumental part of their being and daily life including the various social media types. But all of us like to capture memories of all the great friends we meet...so it is not totally generational. We just sll need to reinstitute the respect and get along. Soultion could be designated photo areas so no one else gets photoed if they dont want to.
Agree with FNT above. About respect. When at TTR I have my phone on me 100% of the time. Most of the time I'm responding to messages from you guys, checking emails, sorting out Boobs Cruise stuff, looking at my stocks or checking the news. Very rarely take pics, if I do it's normally at Bash, the Lobby Bar or in our room and always careful to only include people who want to be in the pic. We shouldn't presume that just because someone has a phone with them that they are a creeper looking for perving opportunities. Let's leave the policing of it to security, by all means report suspicious people but let's not take matters into our own hands. Fighting or damaging property rarely works out well for anyone.
Yes, we do allow cameras on the Boobs Cruise. There are some amazing views and we don't want people to be denied the right to preserve those memories or of their couple and friends time together as long as they are respectful. The general rule is, if people agree to be in your pics go ahead, if you haven't asked then don't do it. We are very diligent about people taking pics of others without permission. We usually have 6 crew, Jannet and myself, plus two entertainment staff. In a confined space that is ten people watching out for camera misuse, plus fellow cruisers who don't want that either and will happily point it out. It's very rarely been a problem, but on a very few occasions Jannet has made people delete pics. Don't piss her off she is a Latina!
Just IOO...........the guests at Desire are much more respectful about the whole taking pics thing. We've had issues the last 5-6 trips to TTR, but staff and security has been most helpful in most situations! On other ocasions Ive resorted to less favorable methods. Once i accidentally fell into the pool while searching a camera for pics.........and another time, I simply removed the SD card. All anybody asks is to be respectful. Many folks escape to TTR and don't live their lives back home the way they do at TTR. As a pediatrician once told us........."My patients parents can't see me like this!" And IOO..........none of us should have to worry about that!
