when I first got here, about 5 years ago I saw Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston before the breakup. I have seen some Football players, but hell if I can remember which ones.
Jannet recalls seeing Ronaldo (famous Brazillian footballer) playing keepy uppy on the beach about 10 years ago and attracting a crowd of several hundred. The most famous one has to be Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee who it's widely reported got together at La Boom. Not sure if this one is true or not but I was in Myplace last night and allegedly John Daly (the golfer) was there. Joe the owner announced him as being there and he certainly looked like him but I'm not sure if it was just Joe having some fun.
That big PGA tournament starts in a couple of weeks so lots of pro golfers are on their way down here!
Met Thaao Penghlis, who played the character Tony DiMera on "Days of Our Lives" for many years. It was 1988, and we were partying it up at Christine's (who remembers that place ?). Met the Jaguares at a private party at Pat O'Briens. We were with a couple locals, who I've known for many years, and they spotted them first. We weren't invited to the party, but managed to crash it without any problems. Saw Reba McIntire standing outside the Rainforest Cafe. She was watching the birds in front of the restaurant, with her husband and son. I was standing directly behind her, but didn't know it was her until she turned her face to say something to her husband. She's very petite and can't be more than 5 foot tall.
Saul from Jaguares owns a restaurant in Playa and every time he is there, we have to stand outside and gawk like freaks.
Yep - the first time I went, Alison and me met Chris Fountain (Justin Burton from Hollyoaks, a UK soap) in The City. He was nice and we had a chat, got a phot. Then, at Dady Rock later in the week at the always-fixed-so-the-Day-Rock-bloke-wins-it-hot-man-contest, Fountain entered and cos all us Brits were chanting "HOLLYOAKS, HOLLYOAKS!!!" very loud, he won! :lol:
Staying on the Brit theme, Wayne Rooney was here a couple of years ago, and several of the Man City squad stayed at BBG 2 years ago. I also met a footballer from Stoke City at BBG (forget his name)
Specifically, February 22-25, at the El Camaleon course, Rivieria Maya. Anyone know exactly where that is. My husband would love to check it out while we are down until the 24th.
