Been checking in on this thread from time to time. Question... will you folks be posting some itinerary when the party draws nearer? Thinking about making the trip up for the party. Mind you we are a few years older, but still love a good time nonetheless. Plus this get together is appearing to possibly be legendary, so I would almost hate to miss it. Would have to call in for a few days, but this event appears to be worth it. Bonus is that we are only 3-4 hours away... driving that is.

For the new yorkers. All the following flights just come down to $219 (Thu-Sun) and $199 (Thu-Mon) Contiental EWR<->ORD direct with lots of time choices . AA LGA<->ORD direct with lots of time choices also. JetBlue JFK<->ORD direct with a a couple time choices. If I were you, I'd pull the trigger on this fare NOW.
Don't worry, there is still plenty of time. There is no such a thing as a trend when it comes to airfares. It goes up and down randomly because of availabilities, competition, etc. The key to getting a good fare is 1. give yourself enough time in advance to wait for a deal. 2. knowing what the price range is for the route. 3. be ready to pull the trigger when the cheap airfare does appear.
I'm ready to pull the trigger on a deal.....but something is telling me they might go down, so I'll wait a little longer and see what happens
