Beach Cricket RulesTOURNAMENT Knockout tournament - winning team goes through to the next round Players enter at their own risk TEAMS 6 players per team RULES BattingBatters in pairs (3 pairs per team) Each team faces 12 x 4 ball overs Each batting pair receives 4 overs Each batting pair starts with 50 runs A hit into the water is worth 10 runs Batters lose 20 runs if caught in the water Batters lose 5 runs per dismissal and change ends No LBW Bat at one end only BowlingEach bowler bowls 2 overs Under arm bowling allowed When bowled, ball must land on batters' side of marked line or no ball declared Wides and No balls are not re-bowled (except in last over). Wides & No balls are worth 2 runs Next delivery after a wide or no ball is a free hit to batter (only run out rule applies with a free hit) Bowlers may only have a maximum of 4 steps in run up FieldingFielding team must at all times have 2 players on leg side, 2 players on off side, 1 wicketkeeper and 1 bowler All fielders rotate positions clockwise at the end of each over No fielder within 10m of batter
