ancun When considering which tours or excursions to take during your Cancun vacation, you should really look at the catamaran to Isla Mujeres. It is an awesome day on the water for a great price. This is a family trip, not a party boat. Of course there is open bar on the catamaran the whole day, but this tour caters to the more relaxed crowd. Click the following link for the famous Cancun Boobs Cruise The boat leaves from Cancun Bay resort, located next door to Temptation Resort, at 10:00 am. As with most excursions, you'll want to be there 30 minutes early to check in. Kick off your shoes and hop on the catamaran! The friendly crew will greet you with the drink of your choice. Then it is a relaxing 40 minute sail over to Isla Mujeres. Once there you can jump in the turquoise blue Caribbean waters and snorkel on the reef for about 45 minutes. Next stop is on the island. The crew will show you where you have free use of the restrooms (most places on the island want to charge tourist a few pesos to use the restrooms) and where to meet back in about 1 hour. Explore the beach, shops, bars...Isla Mujeres has a lot to see all within walking distance. Next stop is a buffet lunch. I was really impressed with the quality of the food here. Most beach buffets are poor quality, but not here. We had a lot to choose from and plenty of it! Drinks during lunch are not included so bring some cash for that and tips. After lunch we had the free use of beach lounge chairs and hammocks. This was FABULOUS! We soaked up the sun, played in the ocean then lounged in the shade for about 90 minutes. When the crew woke us from our siesta, it was time to hop back on the catamaran. There was plenty of wind so the crew put up the spinnaker (like anchored parasailing). A few people tried it and it looked like a lot of fun to fly on the spinnaker. The boat arrives back in Cancun just before 5 pm. I really enjoyed this day trip and I think you will too!
