It's a very easy neighborhood to get to from the HZ. If you stay on the R-2, it goes out to Poseos (sp?) Kabah, which is just beyond the bombing. Ounce your out past Lopez Portillo, people will look and stare and most times ask if you are lost.
Apparently they've been trying to extort the owner of the bar for "protection" money and he wouldn't pay, he in fact reported it to the authorities. I guess this is what happens if you don't pay up, brutal. :S
Didn't realize that a bomb was a worse way to die than stabbing, gunshot wounds, torture, terrorism, etc.

A guy named Martin was arrested there Aug 4, supposedly came in at closing time and was trying to extort $40,000. The owner called 066 (is that the Mexican 911?) and Martin was arrested. Funny I don't know the emergency number but I know Pizza Hut by heart.
We called 066 once for an intruder at my neighbors place.. about 45 minutes later two good sized (as in fat, not fit) cops showed up in a pickup... the whole time we had held the intruder at bay in the back area.. they took him off and released him about 12 hours later from what I understand... so that's probably the one and only time we'll ever call the police here... God help the next intruder we catch..
