If, when shopping, I want to use a couple of $100 Canadian money orders from Canada Post AT a large department store in Cancun, aside from the fact that I'd lose on the exchange versus a bank, would it be easy to do if I have ID?

I would guess it would be a problem cashing money orders, as opposed to traveler's checks.

If you don't want to use a credit or debit card, cash or travelers checks I think you may have a hard time. The only other alternative if you have none of the above would be to get some $ sent to you by Western Union. You can cash out at any Elektra store.

    Good luck.
