In late August it was completely shut down. At that time there was no construction going on at all. I had wondered if they would rebuild or renovate.
Casa Turquesa was one of those hotels that marketed itself as an intimate, high end "Boutique" style resort. Since it is not open I would like to suggest you investigate the following resorts: Le Meridien Avalon Baccara The Bel Air Collection ME-by the Sol Melia hotels group These are smaller style resorts however ME is probably the largest of the bunch and newest. Have fun choosing a resort, Cancun has dozens to choose from. 212eric
