Sure. If you're wearing a black band (member/referral), you just go to the spa desk and ask to use the water therapies. Technically the membership says it includes 30min daily, but they never keep track or have asked us to leave. Changing rooms each have a sauna, steam room and cold plunge, but couples can use the men's facilities together as well. The staff are amazing, they bring bottled water, cucumbers for your eyes and a mint scrub for your skin. There's also a shared therapy pool with bubble jets and loungers. We're usually in the spa most days after the pool and before getting ready for dinner It's perfect cause you go straight in your swimwear and can use their huge showers, spa shampoo/soaps and lotions, towels and robes. Don't forget to tip the staff!
Yes, usually tip the attendants a couple dollars if they've brought us something or were particularly attentive. We only tip the front desk if they've done more than just nod and let us in, like when they let us bring non-member friends in, on occasion.
"Couples can use the men's facilities together as well. " Would you know if that is policy or just kind of no one says anything. I hate after the good couples massage we part ways and meet in the reception office. Kind of ruins the whole sexual energy that was just created. If its not policy my wife probably wont come over to the men's side.
we always have checked bags and just put all that in stored in plastic bags ..but we always run out of sunscreen lots of sharing since people forget to bring it down and we keep it on the bar . We go to the my friendly store and feel its a good price nothing seems super jacked up prices . the store in the resort is high . the walk to the store is really quick just out the door and to the left haven't shopped at the pharmacy so not sure of the prices there. and I think the store to the right is more of a 7-11 type of store so have heard they are higher priced .
It's somewhere inbetween. The staff have guided us into the mens changing room together, given us a tour, and come back and forth bringing us stuff, so it's not that they aren't saying anything. But I'm not going to say it's policy because it's not written anywhere and I'm sure if some inappropriate behavior was going on (remember, same rules as the rest of the resort) they'd say it's mens only. We use it daily when we're there and have never had a problem. It's worth mentioning that I still go to the women's side to use the showers before leaving.
We stopped bringing checked bags about 3 trips ago. The extra time we'd wait for the luggage to get to the carousel was too annoying for us. Nowadays, we just bring a carry-on for all our stuff. For sunscreen, we either bring small travel-size bottles, or buy the solid sunscreen stick (looks like deodorant) or the solid sunscreen in tubes (look like glue sticks) For shampoo, we use what the resort provides but we also pack some extra travel-size ones we'd save from hotels. Here are examples of the solid sunscreen options:
