dont park under a tree (bad things happened to liz and t.j.)

dont park in front of the drive way doors during a hurricane

Avoid the cenotes in the main streets

Attempt to not take your cars to local mechanics

those are just a few of the tips!@

With regards to the car i would wash it and have it waxed regularly. You can have this done in your parking lot generally of your work or sometimes in your neighborhood.

In case of a hurricane I would cover, i would clear your yard of debris and then hope that nothing happens. If you have a hurricane be more worried about yourself and your family then your car.

I use a hand car wash on Lopez Portillo for my Ford Escape. It is a block west of Uxmal, on the north side of the street. It is called Jerulalen, yes, with an "n".

I tip them really good and the guys fight to get me to pull into their lane and they do a great job so that I remember them. You get a good wash and interior vacuum for $50 Mxn. You can find cheaper places but this is my favorite place and as my daughter says, I am brand loyal.

I know a person who does the anti-corrosion treatment, as well as other detail works.

If you want, I would pass your service request on.

    Corrosion defense

Used to be they would do "diesel power wash" on the undercarriage and engine block. Green minded heads prevailed. Now my mechanic brushes motor oil on the udercarriage of my golf cart. It seems to work! I know it is still not the optimal in ecologic approaches, but mother nature is not kind here either and rust proofing franchises don't exist!
