DEFINITELY not your thing Steve.. As far as legality... As far as I know, no it is not legal to transport cannabis across international lines, no matter what the form, no matter what your prescription that you have says.

Personally, I would not think it's worth it to sneak it across a border ever. Hopefully once it's legal, the quality of what's available in Mexico will improve. The options in Canada are pretty awesome including low dose capsules (no stinkiness or smoke!) Will be nice when it's legal and the stigma is removed from a drug that is less dangerous than booze.

Personal possession of small amounts were decriminalized in 2009. She smoked out a lot last time we were there. No problem. I don’t know about bringing weed through the airport, but definitely can bring edibles.
Took when we went our first time with no problem. Only thing I would say is that most of the time you are trying to stay awake there and at least for me it is nap time. We used predominantly at Isla Mujeres
