Anybody out there excited about this great celebration in New Orleans??? I know I am!! Sent out my final reminder to my friends via facebook to get those donations in....can't wait to celebrate for such a great cause!

very excited - and yet somewhat shocked that as many cancuncare people involved and attending that there has been so little talk on here about an event of this size (with over 100 people already booked in the hotel and expecting between 200 and 300 people to attend) that there has been so much silence on this thread lol

oh well - guess that old saying "silence is golden" has some merit

everyone meet juliett johnson she has been named the "wish child" for OUR event. like most 12 year olds she has big dreams. her wish is to go to hawaii with her family and we are going to make sure this wish and wishes for many more come true.

last year we (cancuncare people and indirects here guys) raised $40,000.00 in direct giving to this incredible charity.....if you cant be there but would still like to be a part of what cancuncare people are doing then feel free to join in and contribute

just because you are not there does not mean you cant be a part

its that easy to be a part

 

thanks steve, janet and all those cancuncare people who were a part of the most amazing weekend -------> not only in my entire life, or the lifes of every person in attendance ...............but in the lifes of many very special and grateful kids.

i know that i speak on behalf of many of them and the great organization that are some of the best stewards of donated money on the planet (this chapter donated 94 cents of every dollar received to granting wishes for kids in 2012)

when i say -

together WE all had the time of our life and WE all raised over $35,000 - that is direct................our hand to make a wish foundation hand money

again we are truly grateful for everyones effort - it is life changing for everyone involved i assure you

Best trip ever in my opinion!!!! Great people, food, drink, fun and all to celebrate something so worthwhile and important!!! It's even more fun to party when the party truly has a selfless purpose!

 

hope to see you two soon - cancun in 2013 looks great and new orleans in the fall for the third annual

....surprising we still have some room down in front of everyone in the carousel bar for even more awesome cancuncare people to fit into the picture

 

Definitely room for more!!!! I posted some pics on our profile page for anyone who wants to check them out. Cancun 2013 and a return to New Orleans are definitely in our future!! Can't wait! :cheerleaders:
