It's actually a great question

I am hoping that in the next few weeks we can do a strictly informational sticky with reunion/parade information. At the present time we are working with the make a wish foundation as our charity. They are very excited to be included and their total involvement will certainly make this magnificent parade all the more special

The parade through the qtr is beyond words. Until you have experienced it it's almost impossible to comprehend. We will have a band which leads us from bar to bar throughout the qtr complete with a police escort & grand marshal

Kat of tmac/Kat on cancuncare will be setting a theme and everyone will dress the part and we will parade and party from bar to bar all afternoon long - oh and there will also be a fun game which our sponsors will help us with

So, where do the donations come from??

I, for one, and I am sure all the Cancuncare males are devistated that there are no pics. There are very few things that make our pitiful lives worth living and the anticipation of hot Welsh women pole-dancing semi-clothed in their choice of old west American outfits is one thing that could have gotten us through the winter and, quite possibly, through Spring. I must adamantly protest and request that you make some substitute pictorial gesture to make amends. Otherwise, the damage to international relations may be beyond repair.

 

They will come from us

In memory of our son Jim and tmac/kats daughter terra me and t are going to pay for the parade permit parade band and banners and beads out of our own pockets

We are going to request an entry fee/donation from all entrants of at least 35 pp (of course they can raise and donate more if they like) and the person who raises the most for the charity will serve as grand marshal and present the check to the charity

100 percent of the entry/donations will go to the charity 100 percent

The charity will also be working with us on securing the best rates possiblf for our hotel and er are presently working on this arrangement and should have some valuable info in the next few days

given the fact that we are expecting at least 100 cancuncare people to attend the reunion and that we will be having the reunion in new orleans............and the charity we have selected..........we are toying with the name

who dat wish upon a star
reunion party/parade

this would go directly on the parade banner (with all the sponsor logos and the caption "benifitting the make a wish foundation")

any thoughts?
