I looked at the current figures for Dec 12th, we only have 18 people listed on the roll call, so even if everyone signed up we wouldnt meet the minimum number of 20. Also Dec 12 is my daughters 5th birthday party, so would have to do it a different day in any case.
booze cruize Is there a booze cruz scheduled for the end of December or New Year's? What kind of party is scheduled for New Year's Eve?
rain or shine Boobs Cruise? with the crazy wet weather lately and in the forecast...will the Boobs Cruise still happen in the rain?
Weather is great today again. Depends on how severe the rain is if there is any at all. Best thing to do is still to meet up in the morning and we'll be in touch with the boat owners who will know the latest weather forecast.
Don't worry too much about the forecasts, they are mostly wrong. This is a concern that comes up week after week, if you believed the weather sites Cancun would have 250 solid days of rain a year when it's really more like 20.
Technically they're correct, but practically they're not. You'll often see the forecast saying for example there is a 40% chance of rain in Cancun. What that actually means is that there is a 40% chance that it will rain somewhere in the Cancun region for an unspecified duration. Sometimes you can see "the rain cloud" - a small grey cloud making up 1% of the sky with the rest being totally clear and blue. I've known it rain in our front garden but not in the back, also known the rain to actually evaporate before it hits the ground - you can see where it is coming from but never actually feel it. Other times it rains for 30 seconds and that's it, but it all counts as a rainy day. Thing is, most of us come from places where a rainy day means a whole days rain, all day long and we tend to think our experience of rain will be the same in Cancun if the forecast predicts it. While it can and does happen here sometimes it's a long way short of what people think when they read the forecast.
