The boat leaves at 10am and we arrive in Isla for lunch approx 1:00pm. Those 3 hours also includes a stop for an hour of snorkeling.
WOOOOO HOOOOO!! For you information and planning Steve, Janet and I will NOT be snorkling, I will not submerge myself in water, and Janet got sick last time she did it, so pretty sure she is out too. Very much looking forward to the day! All we need to know is where to meet and what time. Thanks for putting this together Steve
Thanks Roxie, There will be plenty of people to make sure you are not scared. These are big boats so kick back and let the breeze carry you to never never land.
Now that the trip is confirmed (congrats)...do you take "walk ons" the day of the cruise if there is room?
Snorkeling is totally optional, usually around half do it and half stay on the boat, partake in a few extra beverages and enjoy the sun Meet up arrangements are in the first post, but it's meet at 9:15am in the lobby at the front of the hotel. Transport leaves 9:30 , it's about 5-10 minutes to the dock. Snorkeling equipment is provided - free snorkel to keep (no one wants a second hand snorkle lol) Flippers, mask and lifejacket are also provided but you have to give those back. Yes. If you have a couple of undecided friends you're traveling with or meet people at the hotel you may want to invite then feel free to bring them along. I do have to plan off the number of deposits paid though because that determines what we use for transport and the size of the boat we book. So if we have like 10 or 15 extras it might be a problem, a few extras wont be. For example yesterday we had 36 people sign up and ended up with 6 more on the day - it wasnt a problem at all.
Oh and I should add, bring a towel with you. Even if you dont want to get wet it's wise to bring a towel because the boat is surfaced in anti slip paint (like coarse sandpaper) which is not that comfortable to sit/lie on but it does prevent people from falling over which is obviously important.
Just a few days to go so thought I'd bump this one up to let people know there are still spaces available. The forecast for the rest of the week is looking good.
