excellent point - its not like either one of them suck and if i may..... sometimes you say things that you wish you could take back correct? me too looking back on what i said saying i will never go back to cancun is a very strong statement and i should rephrase that to say given the choice between the two i prefer los cabos and will more than likely go to los cabos when we go to mexico. however, if friends of ours have a special event and it involves a trip to Temptation cancun we would certainly consider it rob
Thanks for the insight Rob. After 3 trips to Cancun we would consider a run to Cabo just to mix things up if anything else. We will be looking forward to more opinions from people. Thanks everyone for the input.
something to consider? and i do recommend as i am not sure if we would have enjoyed the trip as much without this very important ingedient: cancuncare people so try and go at a time when there are more cancuncare people as they make the trip even better we are definitely planning a trip in april of 2012 so feel free to join as i am sure there will be a handful or so cancuncare people at that time.......... rob "whatever tomorrow brings i'll be there with open arms and open eyes" from the song drive by incubus
We would be part of the group that prefers Cancun over Cabo, although Cabo was a GREAT vacation...at this stage in our lives, we want/need to go, go, go party atmosphere that Cancun provides. Cabo is very romantic, intimate and sophisticated...but smaller. We prefer a larger environment and more people around that Cancun has. We like to option of going to bed earlier OR staying up to the wee hours of the night partying. The DJ at Cancun provides an awesome party all night atmosphere. We found Cabo to be way more of a chill mode...which is fine at times, but for us we want constant action on our vaca. For us a successful vacation means we come home exhausted. If you are thinking about Cabo, go ahead and give it a shot...just know it's a different resort, which may be what you are looking for. For us...it's the CUN all the way!!!
ron/melissa yeah i remember those days not so long ago whew at my age cabo is about all i can handle now lol tmac says you guys all had another great time in may . was our first may trip to miss in about 4 years to cancun ---and we did miss everyone very much some great trip reports and glad to hear all had fun your friends rob/t me/melissa (may 2010)
I am not sure, I found Cabo to be go, go, go. I came home exhausted, in fact on the day we left, I slept in the cab from the resort to the airport, and then I slept in the chairs at the airport and then I slept for about 3 hours on the plane home. I was very exhausted, I had the night sweats for about 5 nights, and I didn't have a drink for about the first 2 nights that we got home. I actually think I missed out on some of the things. We went to Ediths with Rob, we did the booze cruise, but other things we missed out on. Not to be offensive and I hope it doesn't come across that way, but I think the party is what you make it, it's as much or as little as you want. We have done Cancun 5 times and Cabo twice, I would have to rate Cabo 2011 as the best, Cancun 2005 number 2, Cabo 2010 number 3, Cancun 2008 number 4, Cancun 2007 number 5, Cancun 2006 number 6 and Cancun 2009 number 7. The pattern here would be, the first few times at the new place is great, by the fifth time, the lustre has worn off. I actually do not see the lustre wearing off of Cabo. Just my thoughts. Oh Yes, I think the best will be NO Fall 2011
