absolutely, 100% cash. You can convert it if you chose as well. Make sure to leave some on your card just to be safe, but be aware you will pay an arm and a leg for ATM fees, which really sucks, but sometimes you do need it. You can either stock up on your singles to bring to the club with you at night, or just tip big in the beginning, and become friendly with one of the bartenders. They will remember you the entire night and hook you up accordingly
You buy day pass right outside of Oasis entrance. I booked Omni which is right next to Oasis. They are having a buy 3 night get 4th night for free sale right now on orbitz or expedia. So it's only $120+tax/room/night if you book 8 nights. It's a really nice hotel. Some of us have blackberries and use blackberry IM to stay in touch. It uses your data plan instead of sms so it doesn't cost much, especially if you get an unlimited data plan for mexico.
Actually I have to disagree with you there, Rob. I hate having/carrying a lot of cash, it's just asking for trouble. If you have Bank Of America, you won't get charged to use Santander Bank ATMs in Cancun because of their global alliance. ATM will get you much better exchange rates than any money exchange place.
It says 18 on expedia. It's not really a spring break hotel so there is no complicated check in process like most spring break hotels.
my brother's wedding was at the OMNI, it was gorgeous and the hotel was pretty neat but i'll probably be staying at dos playas... since the old gorgeous pent house downtown is gone... gotta stick to the cheap ones lol
i wouldnt do it... his wife and me arent really friends... plus hes got 3 guinea pigs in a huge guinea pig house all around the living room, in a really small apt.. plus, i might take a girlfriend...
