Nice Day 1 report ! Sheila and Mike should have spoken to the front desk mgr. They were entitled to the upgrade, if there was a room available. I used my upgrade the first time I stayed at the Omni, and shortly after joining the Omni Select program, and also got a beautiful oceanfront room. Perhaps your travel agent can file a complaint and get a couple free nights for them. ~*~*~ Nice pic of the 4 of you ! ~*~*~ Hope to see some beach pics soon. Yeah....I woulda been pissed off if they didn't give me an upgrade cause I called the night before to see if they had oceanview jr. suites available for our dates and the guy said yes, plenty of them. Luckily for us, we got one upon arrival. They send you the voucher and it doesn't say on the voucher "only good on your 2nd visit." You can use it immediately....but, in Mexico, I've come to expect the rules to change at a whim. I really hate that rather "dismissive" attitude that some workers have. It's like they make up rules as they go along an could care less what your voucher says or what corporate says or what the website says. OMG! Those stairs getting up to the hotel are a killer! This is definently NOT the place to stay if you have mobility issues or breathing issues. The Jacuzzi Bar ROCKS!!!! Michelle
