Cancun Palace Our mini trip report is coming soon.... we decided not to transfer to the Cancun Palace to avoid wasting a day packing/ unpacking. We went up for a day trip only (May - better late than never). Do you think the crowding is due to the beach palace not being open yet and sun palace being couples only in addition to the CP not being open last summer? It seems like from what I read it is at 100% capacity!!
Yes, BSN, I think it is a little of all those factors. Palace Resorts always pushed Moon Palace for families and Beach for the 20 somethings. They pushed really hard for Cancun Palace this spring. Strangely, I see all of the resorts are priced the same on Orbitz, etc. whereas we members have VERY different prices. At any rate, I don't travel in summer to avoid kids of any age, size, or noise level. When Maeva in Tulum re-opens, the people who stay south will finally have a nice beach and the day trippers from Moon Palace to CP will stop. Isla Mujeres will help a little and of course, Beach Palace, should take a load off. I'm looking forward to CP going back to the way it was. Without kiddy karaoke in the bar at nite! P.S. Now dont forget the pics! I'm not going again until Oct. and it's killing me. Thanks so much!!
Cancun Palace I will try to get the few pics we have of the CP up this weekend, I still need to finish w/ the film in the non-digital camera. We went to Club Maeva before it closed for renovations. It has an AWESOME BEAC H and kind of secluded. I will try to find pics of that too. Hopefully it will not be as pricey as the ASP and PlayaPalace. We always thought of the CP as the party palace but it looks as if those days are gone. In 7 trips to the CP we never waited for anything, buffet, Al a carte, reservations, pool chairs, etc. We missed the old layout but it was in need of an update!! I am looking forward to the Isla Palace but I hear it is going to be really small. We are going back to the Playacar Palace in September and may try the CP for another day trip. Any news/rumors on the beach palace opening up? Maybe that will help some.
hey guys, I did try to post something last night. I see it did not come through tho. Hope this does. Cancun Palace is nice I would not come here again. We are having fun. There is only one buffet. Not many choices. We were spoiled at the Riu Palace and the Moon. Beach is great. Pool is small. The workers are far and few between. We are still waiting for an ocean view. We have two rooms nothing yet.. We are going to do the time share thing tomorrow. Met up with Penny. Gym is good. Spin class was a joke. But the bikes are nice.

Hey everyone, It is hot here. Yes, but that is Mexico and I love it. Yes the pool is cloudy. We went over to the Moon today. What a difference just like I remember it. The Pool is crystal clear. the water is cloudy here at the Cancun Palace. Not dirty but cloudy. The food choices at the Moon are far superior to the Cancun. Just like I rembered. The food here I am not happy. But the beach is to die for. Also close to the action for my boys. The beach at the moon has a lot of seaweed. We can see four shades of blue here. BEAUTIFUL. Rooms are clean, I find them small for 2 adults and one 12 year old. have to run . i did not even have time to look at other posts for questions . Will be on later will read and answer. Time for music and RED RED WINE.
Hello everyone. Our last day here. We are having fun. No one wants to come home. The weather is hot. It is so crowded........ The pool is much to crowded for us. The Ocean is beautiful.. The gym is nice. Have not spent to much time there. Any questions? I will be on later.
awww free. so sorry it is almost over for you. i guess everyone is busy with summer and not asking questions. we will go down again in october. are they still holding some nitetime entertainment in the lobby bar? i guess you wont see this before you leave but im looking forward to pics and a post. there's always something you miss. and every week brings new improvements. i was so excited to see shuttles running to moon palace. i hope they keep that up. thanks for the info
