    5 more sleeps

We are members and going on Sunday for 7 nites. 5aces - the snorkel from the hotel pics were Cozumel Palace. Palace Resorts offers a free snorkeling trip but reviews aren't so hot. It depends on how sohpisticated a diver you are. Also, the trip to Isla is free but snorkeling that is offered there is around $20. The pics I've seen on here got me thru the long winter so I'll be sure to reciprocate.

This is considered their off season so I doubt the rules will be strict. But judging by the people writing here, there will be enough of us for party!!

    Thank you Lisaten,

Can we use the facility at the Cozumel Place? Can we go there for the day and dive or snorkel from their deck? We would love to go diving there. Can we leave our teenager kids with the kid club and go diving for 1/2 day?

I know that we can visit other Palace Resorts, but to what extent can we do there? This is our first time at an all-inclusive resorts. We will be there June 25. yeahhhhh. We can't wait just to relax and eat and drink....

I appreciate all your guys inputs and suggestions. I copy and paste all the good ideas and tips into a file, and I am taking it it with me.

That is funny. I thought that I was the only one geeky enough to do that!!!
I print out the posts that I do not want to forget and I put them in a small binder.
If you do not have the post regarding the bus routes, you should get it.
It is a must have. :D
How old are your teenagers? Boys or girls?

Yes, you can visit the Cozumel palace. You can take a cab or bus to Playa Del Carmen. Buy a 1 way ferry ticket. Buy the ticket back when you are ready to leave. There are 2 companies and they leave at opposite hours. If you buy round-trip you may be stuck for an hour. Take a cab or walk to the Coz Palace (around $3). You can eat, snorkel of the deck, etc. We didn't snorkel in September but I think I read somewhere that they provide you with a snorkel and mask??

Also the Playacar Palace is almost right next door to the ferry dock in Playa. I would stop in there too. Very nice, smaller hotel. Not sure about the kids clubs. That would be a nice day trip, probably a tiring trip too.

    5aces ,

The Kids Club at CP had just opened when we were there 2 weeks ago. For ages are 4-17.

It is a neat place: pool with sprays & bridge, mini amphitheatre, craft room, media room (movies), game room with pool table & mini trampoline, game room (board games, puzzles, etc.), snack room (popcorn, hot dogs, etc.). They were still putting the finishing touches on it. I think that it will be a VERY popular place! Jan

    hi 5---

5 - we stayed at playacar palace last oct. the "kids" club there is quite minimal. it is a smaller resort and there were mostly adults there. There was a couple that utilized their personal sitters though. I can tell you the staff took very good care of those children as far as i could see. Coz is even smaller so i would not count on kids activities, but you never know. besides, the kids can snorkel with you! i know it all sounds too good to be true but if you pay your way to the other resorts, you are equal to anyone staying there. its really a good bargain. also, bring your towel card with you to use towels there. and don't forget to get one back when you turn them in. finally, if you really feel the need to freshen up, they'll let you use a room for a shower if they are not at capacity.
