Hi all, I just got back from Cancun Palace. It was a great week. As far as the pool, The filtration is not working properly. It is working some though and the water was getting better each day. I am very picky about pool water and I went in no problem. It is not that bad. I filled out a questionare and reported the filtration problem.

    Snobeeler,

Glad to hear that you had an enjoyable week at CP. Also, encouraging news on the pool!

    Questions:
Is the dress code of slacks being enforced at all the CP restaurants? I think their website only shows 1 restaurant as "casual". We will be there next Wednesday, and my guys are wondering what/how to pack.

How was check in? Another individual that just got back said it took 3 hours to get into their room.

Do you have any photos to share?
    Thanks, Jan

    Hi Jan,
The dress code is not being enforced anywhere yet. I am sure that when they do, there will be a grace period. They are doing their best to make your stay enjoyable. We checked in at 11:30 am and our room was ready. Took about 15 minutes. The "Guest Services" people will bring you a cold glass of champagne and a ice cold towel. The lobby is air conditioned, but they were welcome additions. They will try to get you to go over all the hotel info and tour info at their desk. I declined, but decided to hear what they had to say the next day. I am very glad I did. This part is not the time share sell. It is to give you lots of good info about the hotel and tours. After you hear all this good info, they will then ask you if you want to go on the 1.5 hour "time share sell" They call it something else. They offered us $200 to be used at "girly parlor" and free golf for me. ($250 value). We declined and were not pushed. The woman we were with was awesome. (Qudualope was her name) I have some awesome photos and will post a link today or tomarrow for all to see.
