I'll be there in 16 Days!!!!

What a great place to spend your birthday! We normally go later in April and are there on my husbands birthday.

Can't wait, I already have my bag out and some things in it ready to go.

Well it's me again. I have to say this 1st. The breakfast buffet at the International restaurant is the best I have ever had !!!! They have the biggest selection I have ever seen and the wait staff is the best I have ever encountered !!!

Okay now that is out of the way - lol. I have to say I haven't actually been to the gym but I do know it is open. I have seen people working out thru the glass doors from the pool area.

Free, I'm not sure what all the room service menu offers for kids and for how long they serve but I was told you can order from any of the restaurants in the hotel.

The one thing I don't like is that the pools close at 8pm. Not sure if they actually forbid you from using them but I have never seen anyone using them after that time.

I had intentions of going to Coco Bongo last night but I was so wore out from all the things I did (laid out, swam in the ocean, visited Aquaworld - booked the Isla Mejueres daytrip for 4/4 & Sub Sea Explorer for today) I decided to do it on Wednesday (going to Senor Frogs tonight for Fat Guy Contest !!).

I'll try to keep everyone updated on how the daytrip goes tomorrow.

Having fun in the sun !!!!

    :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks Ladykatsfan for the update. I'm glad you are having fun and your trip has turned out good for you.

I don't remember with the Old Palace if the pools were open after 8:00 pm or not. We never swam after dinner anyway but the jacuzzi outside would be nice. Are those operating too? How about the fountains by the pool?

Write when you can and we can't wait!!!!

Free YOU are right, there is NO place like Mexico! :D :D

    Thanks again,

The pools closing at 8pm is the way it's always been and the same for any resort you go to.. It's not a Palace thing.

It's for safety and maintenance reasons (ie: chemicals and the like).

Makes sense. They have to have some down time to clean it etc... and add chemicals.

I see that you and your husband will be there on the 20th, My husband and I will be there the 19th. Maybe we can buy each other a drink

We are Mike and Sheri from Atlanta, Ga. we've been to the Palace 5 times and love it and can't wait to see the new stuff!

    16 Days!!!!! :D :D :D :D

The fountains are not working yet. They were working on the but not operational yet.

The jacuzzi's are open but have yet to see them on - parents with small kids mostly using them.

The employees were cleaning the pool in the morning around 7-8 so not sure if that was why they close at 8. I assume the beach closes then also?

I'll try to post some pics in the next day or so.

Still having fun in the sun (even tho I'm a little fried right now - lol).

Hello Ladykatsfan. thanks for all the updates. Do you recognize any of the staff (Yanet, Roberto, Que (sp?), Ceasar, etc)? Some were at the Playacar palace and didn't know if they go to go back to Cancun.

Yes, dear Sheri - we arrive on the 20th and I had planned on PM'ing you for us to meet up. I've already blackmailed Jan that if she doesn't get her passport in time, I'm drinking w/out her. You will recognize us by our picture, and we are not the slightest bashful.. Heck, I'll ask all guests if they are Sheri and Mike from Atlanta... Not the preferred method, but I'll find you eventually!!..
