The last time I was in Cancun at the Palace, the entertainment at night always took people on the bus bar hoppin tour. I don't think it is included in the "passport" stuff, it's just something that the entertainment staff does after the shows in the hotel at night. So, be sure to go to the hotel nightly shows when you are there and I'm sure you will find a bus bar hopping tour. 17 days!!!!
Palace tours It is not part of the "promotion" or free tours. You can book it on site. I am not sure how they ent. staff do it now but in the past after the lobby show was over they had a bus to a different club each night. Last time we were there it was $25 PP VIP all you can drink but find your own transp back to the hotel (one club each night). We did a bar tour through the on site reps the first trip but didn't feel well so we didn't make it past bar #1. You can also book through Cancuncare - http://www.cancuncare.com/nightlife/partytours.htm We never went w/ the palace group and really didn't realize what it was all about until our last trip.
Isla Mujeras Tour Miss Jenna, We had the Palace Passport that you are referring to but we did not use any of it except to go to other Palace resorts. When you get to CP, there are tour booking agents there but we stayed away b/c you could barely tell whether they were Time Share Sharks or not. (Stay away from anyone that has "Palace Premier" on their name tag.) We had our best day going to Isla Majerus by booking it ourselves at AquaWorld. When you walk out of CP go left. Its on the lagoon side about 4 hotels down. We walked up & paid $63/ person which includes open bar on the boat, snokeling, lunch (excellent food) on the island. I do not recommend the snokeling here b/c currents are strong and not much to see. I think you save $10 by not doing the snokeling. When we got to the island, we rented a golf cart to travel the island which was worth it. We went to the edge of the island near the lighthouse. We took the trail walking trail through the cliffs to see the most beautiful sits of waves pounding the cliffs. You also have time to go downtown to shop. The ride back was most fun b/c everyone had been drinking and the staff participates in entertainment and music. That was so fun!
I have to giggle each time I hear "stay away from the time share sharks".. The best thing we ever did was become Palace Premiere members. I save at least $700-$800 each time I go.. When you include the free weeks and free airfare I got, It's more than paid for itself already after 4 years, and that $700-$800 bucks is all mine!! To each his own, of course... I have not regretted it for a second. Vacations are a priority for us now... They improve the quality of our lives so much more than any other things we would spend our money on if we didn't do it. Jayson and I can't wait to check out the Playacar Palace and the Vallarta Palace. The new Moon Palace in Puna Cana has our name all over it when it opens. 17 more sleeps .. 17 more sleeps.. 17 more sleeps...
Hi there Helydoma, At the Cancun Palace is the gym open? Can you give me some info on it. Thanks.........
CP Gym Free, Now that you asked, I dont remember seeing a sign for it or hearing anything about it. I do know for SURE that the gym is open at the Sun Palace.
Free, I just checked the Palace Resorts website and it states both the Gym and the Kid's Club will open 4/30/07.
Go to the Chaza Travel desk in the lobby to book the free tours including the the passport promotion. It has nothing to do w/ the Palace sales pitch thing that is not a time share. You can book your free trips (Tulum, Isla, etc) and you pay $0.00. We have used the freebies each of the 8 times we have been. The entertainment staff do the bar thing at night, but you can purchase the bar tour through Chaza also.
BSN, Okay awesome, so that party hopper tour that Cancun Care offers I can book in person through Chaza? Cuz I didnt want to book it Online in advance because we are not 100 percent sure what day we want to do it yet and prefer to make all the excursion arrangements when we get there.
and thank you everyone for responding so quickly!! If I was old enough I would prob buy a time share, ive read some specials and it seems pretty worth it; esp. cuz i love vacations.. But i think i need to wait a few years!! hahaha :bounce: so as of this vacation i need to find a tour booker and a tour booker only!!! 5 more weeeksss!!!!! and ill be there on my birthdayyyyy yayy!
