Just go anyway, and say nothing to the parents. Who says they need to know where you do your vacationing? Hell, you can catch the swine flu in New York, Florida, and any number of other states that reported cases too! Eff them. Go on vacation - where you go in your private time is none of their business, and if they're truly that concerned and press you for info, LIE TO THEM.
More confirmed cases in the US than there are in Mexico. This is not a Mexico thing anymore. Failing that sue them for loss of earnings.
This is exactly what I told my wife. She told everyone we were going before this outbreak, that's how they knew where we were planning on going. I told her, just tell them we decided not to go, and go anyway.
