Cancun has always been a cockfest. That is why guys who get no girls at home will not in cancun. I didn't know about any bombings i just know about the heads in acapulco.
I have a feeling ratio is way worse because of the above mentioned reason. The bombing probably has nothing to do with the drug cartel war going on in the rest of Mexico (Cancun Bombing: Will Drug Cartels Squeeze Life Out of Tourist Destination? - ABC News). But people are dumb, they misassociate things often time because they stereotype and project when it comes to things they don't know very well instead of doing the research and trying to be more analytical so they can really understand what's going on. I'm sure a lot of chicks got scared or their parents who fund their spring breaks got scared. That's why Student City's Cancun number is down this year.
This is not a lush resort,...is more just OK. Step up from Oasis, not quit Omni. There is a public beach entrance inbetween The City and Coco Bongo. Turn left at the beach, and the Krystal is there. Not sure how they are going to do Crowd Control as the other hotels were much further from any public entrance. As for the poster concerned about Cancun being like it was 8-10 years ago... it isn't. Ever since MTV left doing things in here, it took most of what made Cancun, Cancun with it. But if you are looking to drink alot, meet good ppl and have a great time, stop worrying. I was here then and I am here now and there still isn't a party quit like it.
No why do they keep changing HQ? Prob too late to switch to Krystal? Then again they might choose to change the HQ again:angrymad:

I know you are giving good reasoning behind the numbers The "bombing" was a Molotov cocktail or fire bomb. Nothing massive. And it happened in a residential area out where I, nor any Mexican I know would ever go. It's about a 45 drive there from lets say Coco Bongo. And it was cartel related. Hi Tori, Thanks for the wise words of wisdom. I am just hoping its the same as atleast last year, judging from KP's youtube vids from 2010 it seemed like a great party to me (especially at the oasis). Problem is with all this legal B.S. i just dont know what to expect with the daytime pool party. I guess worst comes to worst just have to day pass it.
cmon guys this is cancun its gonna be kick ass no matter what yes there will be more guys than girls what else is new yes there will be parties all day cmon now dont lose hope
