    0 more deaths

    1 of the 2 people in hospital yesterday have since been discharged. All others are self isolating at home

    I have a coworker who, 1 day after returning from Mexico, became sick with fever and cough. She tested positive for COVID-19. She's gone through a horrible 2 weeks but is now on the mend. Based on the timing of her symptoms, she almost definitely picked this up while in Mexico.

    This will show up as a Canadian statistic even though she contracted it in Mexico. So don't kid yourself that it's safer there. COVID-19 is everywhere.

    Most likely caught it from another foreigner in Cancun or on the plane. As per first report above re positives there were 8 Mexicans and 14 foreigners on the 23rd March which is quite some time after your friend left.
