...hopefully the car company's being back on the first page this morning are signs that the media is moving past it...
It is sad to hear what is happening, we were very disappointed to have to cancel BUT our main concern is that we care for Jules Grandmother who is 96 and the last thing Jules would want to do is put her, who obviously counts as a person at risk, from contracting some new form of influenza. We can, and have only gone by what our Foreign Office advises which is against any "non essential travel". Our holiday to Cancun is NOT ESSENTIAL and the resort will hopefully still be there next year for us to book again, unfortunately the economic welfare of the resorts and workers is not our problem.
I dont believe our flight will be canceled unless something else happens, it seems fate doesnt want us to go, every thing that could go wrong in the last two weeks for us has gone wrong! But we are going to tempt fate and come anyway. I feel bad for the workers at the resort they work so hard for so little! Terry
We will be there June 4th, Screw the Flu! I have better chance of getting hit by a truck than getting the flu. See ya soon!!!
I still have 19 days until we get there and I am willing to bet you wont hear much about the "flu" that has done very little damage if you look at it on a global scale compared to the worlds population. The damage has already been done though, with airlines canceling flights it makes it harder for the people who want to go to get there. We could always all meet somewhere and take a charter bus down there! I think we need some t-shirts that say something like "I risked the swine flu to get Tempted" Found these on the swine flu fan club on facebook
I have been trying to figure out how to get you in my suit case, But we will for sure have a few drinks for you!!
