When's your trip? I was told as of December this year Nolitours/Transat holidays won't offer Temptation. Guessing you booked before then. Otherwise they gonna have some explaining to do.
We find that booking flight/hotel separate is less than booking as a package from Calgary to Cancun. Always alpharooms and then Westjet - never wishing to fly Transat/Nolitours again - we didn't have a bad flight w/ Sunwing, but it's a hit/miss when going w/ charter company.
Alpharooms had the best price hands down. OCT 25 - NOV 2 was $1022USD / hotel only, everywhere else was more to include going straight through to the hotel by $400USD Flights can be more a challenge and depends on if you don't mind a layover of a couple of hours.
I booked 17 to 24 Sept for 2 from Toronto with transfers for $1725 tax in. I think Sunwing and last year we used Noli tours who flew airtransat.
We have always used Redtag...cheapest rates so far....I find booking the room and flight separate is way more expensive.
Last year we used Itravel2000. This year we booked everything separately through Orbitz. orbitz was $500 cheaper for our package than Expedia and in total Orbitz cost us the same amount for this trip which is 10 days long as Itravel cost last year for a 8 day trip.
TTR Honestly it doesn't matter where and from who you book your trip with, your like us from a small province in the maritime, so there's very little choice in flights and air lines that go to Temptation. Unless you want to fly to Toronto or drive to Quebec where you can have a better choice of air line with a connecting flight, we are sort of screwed. Last year there was a flight that went to Temptation from St-John New Brunswick that was the same price as ours leaving out of Moncton. Been to Temptation 3 times already and looking to add a fourth this year and a fifth in March, if I find any airlines that suit you will let you know. We usually fly out of Moncton
I have used WestJet for the flight and Expedia for the room once on a last minute thing. Every other time (3) I've used Sunwing. I understand you hate them, but I've always had wonderful service.
We typically find the cheapest packages from Calgary through Redtag. As has been said before, from Canada it's usually cheaper to find a package.
Thats just the thing.. we had no service. flights delayed, luggage ruined, and zero coperation from sunwing on the luggage... zero. emails unanswered, totally and completely a classless operation. Sadly, it looks like we may have to fly with them again. I will look high and low before I do it again. If itmeans an extra cpl of days travelling time, I'll do it. Even considering driving to bangor and flying from there.
