That isn't why he fired her though, that is what he said to support his assertion that she didn't know anything about his business affairs.

i know what he said.. but what i meant was perhaps he ws truthful about her being a heavy drinker ..but he really fired her for blabbing even though he stated that he never told her about the business..

cause really jsut cause he never told her doesnt mean she didn t know.. she could have over h eard, or snooped or anything...
