    Here is another simple suggestion, use a Amex account. Deposit to your account (in advance) in MXP. When you need to pay for something in Canada use the Amex card and the local merchant will receive their payment in CAD. If you need local CAD cash then you can get a CAD cash advance from your account via the local Amex office.

    I did this when I was working for an extended period of time in
    Japan. I was being paid in CAD in Canada but needed to operate day by day in the local Japanese currency.

    Just a thought....may work for you......

    Im gonna give the banks a go, and well see what happens.

    Have never owned a Amex. How long does it take to apply for a card etc?

    Would it also be under the same, retarded law where the Govt steals a part of what you deposit(on your own account!!)?

    Checked out Western Union etc. and the conversion rate, plus sending charge made it easy to say "no thanks".
