If you share wifi, you need to share the same laptop, otherwise you will be going to the front desk and asking them to reset it, and they only like to do that once. They'll tell you to use only one computer.
Thanks alot everyone! How much was it for a week? I tought I saw 15$ a day but is there a deal for a week?
Or just get a Telcel internet plan (but you will need a Telcel Sim card)...that's the plan on this trip...I believe its about $35 US for 3 GB...good for 30 days...speed if much quicker also 3g/LTE depending on your location. Hope that helps.
Last trip for us they were non negotiable. Told us straight up 15.00 per day unless we came to there repeater presentation and stayed for the whole hour. Then it would be free the rest of the week. 5.00 for 30 minutes in the lobby works pretty good for just checking up if you don't have to make yourself available all day.............
Well, where there is a will, there is a way. Technically, this would be done by matching against the device's mac address. So, if you can clone the mac address and make sure the other device doesn't connect at the same time, you're good to go. The simplistic method is to use a bridged connection by sharing connections from an active laptop. I'd probably to with linking up using a WiFi bridge, then reconnecting the bridge to a personal AP to share the link. Quite a few devices now allow for WiFi to be shared by bluetooth links (aka bluetooth tethering). That's probably way too confusing, but I do this stuff for a living and hobby. We actually worry about people doing this and putting untrusted devices on the wireless networks I manage. As a provider, I can't think of a way to prevent this, other than catching duplicate mac addresses active at the same time or analyzing the network traffic. (Deauthing rogue APs is an option, but you risk taking out people tethering their cell data connections.) I'm happy to be disconnected for the first time in years. I'm just putting international calling on the private cell to check in with the kids.
we just returned, you log in and choose a user name and password. We never tried on other ipad or fones but doesn't sound like its tied to an IP (any longer). I have had the worst experiences with destination internet so was going to skip but with blizzard a day after we got there I felt the need to have access to email at least. We used for Skype fone calls so was well worth it for us. note- use for skype early am or later at night due to high bandwidth, once a lot of folks on line it does slow down. in general a lot faster speed than you'd expect
We were able to share in November between laptop and iPhone. It is user name and password but 2 devices could not be logged on at the same time.
The Internet will not work on more than one device without paying for another code. We were there 3 times before where you could log in and out with a password and use multiple devices, you can't do that anymore.
I figured out a way around everything.... When you first get to the resort..Take 2 shots of tequila and then throw all you digital leashes in the pool at the same time...and now you can have fun..
