All the reviews I'm seeing is old reviews. Also what is the $1 bus that you can take to get around Cancun can anyone provide more information to me please? Thank you.
We can't help you with Oasis Sens but the city buses are under a $1 and run very regularly. So if you want to head into town they work pretty well. Might help to speak a little Spanish but if not someone will usually let you know when to get off
If you aren't going to pay for a Sian Ka'an room, don't bother going to the Sens. Half the resort and restaurants will be off-limits to you, with all the changes they've made.
We went in June 2017 and the place is falling apart. We went with a group of people so we still had a blast but the place was in need of serious repair. Some of the highlights was AC in the nightclub was hit and miss and it was very hot most nights. The restrooms near the nightclub had zero ventilation and felt about 100F. Add overflowing toilet and bathroom smell to that and the extra few minutes to walk up a few flights of stairs to get to another restroom was worth it. We had the room upgrade with our own little pool that was broken, no circulation. Opened up the wooden cover and found the pump was just lying there disconnected and there was a plastic bag wrapped around a stick stuck into one of the pipes to stop it from draining out. They did not consider this worthy to give us another room and just said they clean the pool daily so its fine. There was a guy sitting on the bench part in the pool for a while and when he stood up and walked away there were about 4 pool tiles stuck to his back My wife actually collected pool tiles and made them into necklaces for all the girls in the group. It was cheap though.
We went in July this year. Had the upgraded room so getting in restaurants was not a problem. The resort is dated but clean.Wife and I had a great time. We would go back
We just came back. Were there from Nov7-14th First time there at this resort. Have to say have been to quite a few AI resorts. This one by far was the lowest I’ve been too. When we booked we were told we got the last room as it was completely booked so thought we were lucky to get in for the price. One day after we were there we noticed and found out that they were only running at 40-45% 3 restaurants were closed (sushi/the box/mahi taco) Trying to get into the others was never easy Buffet was only open for breakfast and I’m not a picky one for food so always found something but they were always out of some foods everyday. One evening at careyes. They said had no fish and no chicken so you were left with steak or ribs. Steak was meh. Room was ok. Had no A/C and asked for it to be fixed 3 times and never did it. Even though running at low capacity they wouldn’t give us a different room. Entertainment was nothing to write home too. Other than the cirque shows they had in the lobby. Drinks by Ernesto never a complaint. Only thing is he serves at the swim up bar and we sat and watched daily the people getting drinks from him (countless) and they never left the pool once. Hence to say. Don’t dip your head or open your eyes in the pool. Definitely not sanitary. We Could see the pool bottom covered in debris (broken tiles/dirt/sand)and pool sides always covered in slime and never cleaned. All in all. Ok place. But highly doubtful will go back
We have been twice. Have visited several resorts Live Aqua, Sun Palace TTR. All are great and cost much more. If you like the beach and relaxing Sens is he place to go at a reasonable price. Not a party place like TTR. We will go again next year, maybe TTR again
We have been here several times. It is a great place for what U are looking for at a decent price. Drinks, Food and a wonderful beach, No kids. We are a older couple compare to the groups we have seen there, but we were always accepted and treated nice. There are several pools, lots of restaurants and bars, upgrades on rooms, etc is available. The language differences from USA to Mexico if not a problem. We found that a lot of locals visit this resort and they are always fun to be around. If U speak the local language U will find the resort a lot easier to navigate. But we never really had no trouble like some other places in Cancun. If u are looking for a nice resort without blowing the budget, then the Sens is a great little place. Go, Have fun...We did.
