Week-ends? Seems like from looking at the arrival dates people have posted that it may be a "week-end" problem (Fri-Sat-Sun arrivals)...anyone getting bumped with a Mon-Thur arrival?
I dont think there's much method to it other than once the reservations system is full, all other reservations get bumped until there's space again. What normally happens is the travel companies send their big bunch of reservations through about 10-14 days before and they then get entered into the system. One sure fire of avoiding the dreaded bump is to book direct with the hotel as those bookings are entered as they are received. The direct with the hotel prices are usually beaten by other places (never understood why they price themselves more expensive) but some people prefer to book that way to avoid any possible bumpage.
I wouldn't be a jerk about it but I would refuse to be bumped. I would politely ask for our bracelets and we would find people to shack up with. I am sure we could comp them.:lotsofmichaelfs: Adapt and Overcome. This is win/win.
We're hoping that since we get in early Monday morning, then our chances are lessened. Audrey & Dave - if you guys get bumped, you can shack up with us until your room is ready!

Hope not! There is 3 couples in our group, all the guys named Dave. And as you can tell, Bald Dave isn't a useful nickname here either.
