Correct. However, "underexposure" and "overexposure" are the problem. And the women you speak of, are idiots and the tanning salon owners are fools for not telling them to cut it back. We do at our salon! Plus, there are other contributing factors to skin cancer, including diet, heredity, etc. Also, appox. 90% of the Vitamin D a body needs comes from UV light. You are definitely right. When the news shows are covering skin cancer, I've watched interviews with women who frequent tanning salons and many of them said they wouldn't cut back even after finding out that they could get skin cancer. You're also right about the salons.... any business that has a product that could be harmful in excess should be regulating their customers. Bars are responsible if they sell too many drinks to a drunk.
