I would recommend Palace Casino over Dubai, especially for the food - its of a high quality, rather than the "school dinner" standard that Dubai sometimes comes out with. The buffet at lunchtime is 95 pesos, and they give you 50 pesos credits to play with, which you have to turn over in the machines before you can take it out. For breakfast I'm not sure if its 50 pesos and 50 credit, or 100 and 100. Palace charge you 50 pesos for breakfast and give 100 to play with, although you can only take out anything you win over that 100 - it doesn't get turned over as in Dubai. Both will give you free soft drinks, which tends to bring the price of the meal down a touch anyway.
Although no in the topic of food, at either of those casinos can you play poker against (not with vs the dealer) other human players?
We went to Liverpool this morning. They have a 2 for the price of one deal on, on weekdays till the end of April. My egg-whites' omelet was great, as was the entire buffet. Including tip, we paid $150 pesos! Then walked it off on the malecon. Thanks TJ!!
Yeah, in Palace Casino they organize tournaments and cash games most nights, with different buy-ins and limits.
You can invite me, just not next weekend. AND, are you all talking about the FA Grand Coral Beach or the FA Condesa. As a tourist, I ate the buffets at both of them. Pretty much the same great food, atmosphere and service but the Condesa was cheaper, maybe by $50. It's been a while.
Me and the kids have eaten at the Fiesta American villas for the last 4 weeks. If you take your visa with you it's only about 185 each, i forgot the first two weeks and it cost me 305, i think it was 205 for me, 100 for sofia, willy didn't pay as he's only 3, I think 4 and above pays. Anyway, this Saturday he asked for Id, i said i still don't have it as immigration have confiscated it and he said just give me anything, i gave him my english drivers license. It cost me 205 pesos for all 3 of us! Anyway, the omelets and fruit are delicous, my kids ate 4 sausages each and my son likes the hot cakes, the rest of the hot food looked a little ropey, i tried a 'chip' and it was very bland. Still I eat the same every time, packed omelet with almost everything and a huge bowl of fruit with green juice and coffee. Certainly beats the hell of that disgusting salad in McDonalds (only healthy option while the kids have happy meals) and almost works out the same. It's also a perfect location, nice view as you eat and your at the best beach in Cancun by a long shot, can park the car at the hotel and spend the day chilling out just in front of Las Olas appartments. I'm sure we'll be back this Saturday, really really enjoy it as do the kids.
