Actually, ten 3oz bottles is NOT okay. ALL of your 3oz bottles must fit into a 1 quart size bag...which wouldn't fit ten 3oz bottles plus other toiletries. Details here: TSA | Transportation Security Administration | 3-1-1 on Air Travel That being said, as I travel for business frequently the TSA agents rarely have an issue if you go a little over that limit. But if you brought an entire carry on bag filled with 3oz bottles I'm sure you'd have an issue. So just be aware of the rules and what could happen if you exceed the limits!
Thanks for the reminders, remember, 1 carry on for her and 1 for me equals 2 quart bags which does carry all of our toiletries, as long as we are honest about what we REALLY need to bring along. Thanks for the link, wonder if Steve could create a sticky for that link as it would be invaluable for everyone.
Exactly...should be more than enough, but I just didn't want anyone thinking they could just pour all their large size bottles into 3oz bottles and take 100 small bottles on the plane. Not sure what'd you'd do with all those bottles of liquid anyway, but I'm sure we could think of something creative
