We planned to do just that last year but when we got to the airport, the weight limit for a carry on for Aeromexico is lower so we ended up having to check them anyway, so this time, we are just going to bring the big ones since we have to check them regardless. When we go to Jamaica, we can get away with carryons but Aeromexico is different. Good luck.
We did 5 days with carry-ons and big "personal items." That included all the theme nights and 3 pairs of 5" heels--and all the sunscreen, etc--AND I didn't even wear everything I brought! Saved us $50 and a few minutes at both airports.
We have always done just carry ons for Temptation. But not the first time we went to Hedo. Checked Trevor's stuff and he carried on my shoes and toys in his bag. I did not want to risk any delays or lost luggage. Now I have a better idea of what I actually use and don't waste as much space.
