I don't think the regular is much cheaper, but your comparing apples to oranges. Just booked my 5th yesterday.
The O/P said, "a regular ride over to the island...." Oh boy... SO much more than that! Worth every cent and you may want to go one day, skip a day, then go again! You'll understand when you do it, you need that day of rest in between!

I'm 6'2" and when I went under to use the bathroom I cracked my head on the top so badly that when I removed my hat blood poured down my face as if I was stabbed in the head. The crew was great and instantly cleaned me up and tapped a massive amount of gauze to my head. This was 10 minutes into the cruise when I was stone sober. And I still had a blast. So yeah, it's worth it.
Is the water very ruff going to isla and back my wife gets sea sick if it's really bad. I see its a good size cat that your on so that definitely helps.
