My wife gets motion sickness also. She said these worked great for her. http://m.walgreens.com/mt/www.walgr...st-bands-nausea-relief/ID=prod6056851-product
I did the patch thingy..........but in all seriousness it was overkill. Our trips have been fabulous! Definitely do the Boobs Cruises! You'll love it!
The first time we went on a Boobs Cruise my wife got really sick (the water was very rough). Since then we have been on at least four more and she always uses the patch and has not gotten sick once and the last one was pretty rough in the morning.
Sorry I missed this before. Thanks Trina for chipping in, although we changed our itinerary ever so slightly since you last went. You should come again soon We now have a later start, later lunch and later return. We'll probably change back again once the clocks change and it gets darker earlier. But current itinerary is something like: 10:00 meet Paty O Bar for check in 10:30 board boat 11:15 snorkel stop (close to Cancun) 11:45 head across to Isla Mujeres 1:00 skinny dipping 1:30 stop for lunch and beach games after 3:00 head to downtown Isla Mujeres 3:45 arrive downtown Isla Mujeres 4:30 board boat for journey back 5:30 arrive Temptation So that's a 7.5 hr tour with about 2.5 hrs on land 5 on the boat. Time on the boat is no longer than 2.5 hrs between stops. If conditions are not great we do change things around so that there is more time on land and less on the boat. Seasickness is something that's often feared but rarely experienced. I'd say over the year less than 10% feel ill with maybe 2% actually being sick. Of course the weather dictates how choppy the water is and during winter months it can be more choppy than outside of that time and seasick rates may increase in the winter and be less in summer. The boat is a catamaran which means it has two hulls, so it has less side to side motion than single hulled boats, but there is still some up and down and back and forth. It's also twin engined with a very experienced Captain who can choose the best path based on conditions. Please remember though we are crusing the Caribbean Sea, it's not like the 5 acre lake you may be used to. Fortunately, it is not the North Atlantic that you may be used to either
Find whatever will work so she doesn't get sick, we had a guy on our last cruise sick and I felt horrible for him! But you can't miss a Boobs Cruise it is epic!
I too get sick. My first Boobs Cruise was terrible. My second I took ginger graval and wore the wrist bands. It may have been over kill but all I know is I had the best time ever with no feelings of sickness. I've been on 5 now and do the same each time. Steve's Boobs Cruise is a "not to be missed" party.
