granted we have only been on 2 of the cruises but I can attest to what that stop can and can't do for you. We voted to not stop but for what it is worth these were our debates.... Cons: 1. There is not hardly time to go get shopping of any kind done, which we tried on our first trip. Besides your there to party and if you are shopping your probably doing it at the wrong time. 2. having to put clothes back on and the break in the music slows the party. 3. disperses all the party people and there are too many things going on in different locals to get a firm grip of where the "land party" is at 4. having to deal with the paparazzi on the dock wanting to take pictures of the naked boat. (who knows where those end up!) 5. Steve having to deal with complaints of "naked people" coming onto public beaches 6. drinks aren't free at the pub 7. more money spent on the island is less for the tips to the crew. Pros: 1. The second break from the boat is nice to get some relief from the sun 2. Mingling with people you haven't been able to on the boat 3. having some public indiscretion is pretty effin fun! other suggestions - I know it had been made mention of a shallower place to do some skinny dipping and the difficulty in that. Is there a sand bar that is off shore somewhere that you can anchor out and people can go out to and play more games? -spending more time with games after lunch -after lunch and the games that's generally when the debauchery gets turned up a bit. Could have some kinds of on board games or contests. (whip cream lick- where 2 ladies volunteer to get rubbed down with AIWC and then volunteers to each lady have to lick and suck as much off as they can in 30 seconds).
Thanks for the feedback everyone, I haven't said much so far as I try not to influence things too much, but I have been reading all the replies. At this point, with almost 150 votes cast the results are 2/3 would prefer not to stop and 1/3 would prefer to stop. I thought the results would be further apart in favour of not stopping. I think what we will do is, as a few people suggested, play it by ear on each cruise and I'll amend the published itinerary to reflect that. At least that way anyone who is really looking forward to the downtown stop will realise it may not happen. (Sorry Frank!) The default will almost certainly be we wont stop unless we feel there is a good reason for doing so. Of the last 4 cruises we have not stopped for the first 3. On the last cruise we did stop because the weather wasn't good and we also had someone who got very seasick and took the ferry back. The stop actually helped liven the party up when we all got back on board after a somewhat bumpy ride over. I had a meeting last week with the boat operator and they are fine with whatever we decide, although they were making a few noises about extra costs for them, more alcohol consumed and more diesel used. I'll try to deflect that as long as I can
- as mentioned before it's not really possible to find a shallower place to skinny dip. There is a sand bar where we did stop a few times maybe 18 months ago and also with our previous operator maybe 3 years ago. The water is about 8 feet deep but within 10 yards or so quickly shallows to about 4 feet, so people could swim a short way and then stand up. Catamarans aren't allowed in that area though (especially naked ones!) as it is close to North beach and it's also a little tricky for the Captains given the rapid change in depth, we did do it a few times but the Marine Police caught us and banned us - We generally have 90 minutes for lunch with about an hour for eating and 30 mins for games. We cant really stretch it out more as we don't want to share the club with people from other boats and try to have it to ourselves. The beach club cant just operate once every 5 days for us, so we have to accept that other boats want to use it too. Our slot is 1:30 until 3. The only alternative would be to shorten the amount of time people spend eating, and add that to the games. But not very comfortable with rushing people to finish their meals. - Chinos is our Ents guy and he is always coming up with new games and stunts on board. What we do now is not the same as six months ago, and what we did 6 months ago is not the same as we did a year ago. He is full of ideas...... the only problem is holding him back from some of his more outrageous ones

shotgun I like the idea of each cruise to vote for the stop or not. Also want to say that the bar we go to now is 100 times better then the old one we went to a few years back. Steve thanks for being on top of things as always.
Steve I appreciate everything you do for us and the cruise. The effort you put in to make sure it's as good as it can be is staggering. It's so refreshing that it's about people's enjoyment and not just $$$. So many businesses don't get repeat business because they don't look after the customers, but look at the Boobs Cruise and % of repeaters! Anything you change on the cruise is ok with me because I know you only make them to make things better or when they're essential.
