I have to say I enjoyed the stop, and i am kinda looking forward to it.... But i don't think i would miss it. But the food was great... And if you dont eat enough at the lunch stop its a nice break... Definitely has benefits Sent from my SGH-I337M using Tapatalk 4
I can't swim and since I sink like a rock my fear of drowning becomes more intense if I am drinking as does the sea sickness hence one of the reasons why I chose not to drink on the cruise when we went.... yet we owned a boat for many years ourselves if anyone can figure that one out lol. Being sober on the cruise is not a bad thing either we still had a lot of fun. If the second stop was to be taken out why not just stay longer at the first Island stop and do more games?
We agree that the stop is kind of a downer from the party on the boat but for people who have never been it is a nice extra. We love Isla Mujeres and go often on our own. It really sucks having to put your clothes back on though!
This is a tough decision... I actually like the downtown stop as its an excuse to get some tequila that isn't made from turpentine lol. I wouldn't be crushed if it is skipped... But I kind of like it. But if it means increased time at the lunch stop & skinny dipping, I'm okay with skipping downtown, or skipping snorkeling. The 3 cruises we did in September, I think a total of about 10 people went snorkeling. Seems to be the newbies do the snorkeling, the veterans do the drinking lol
I find it very difficult to have to put clothes back on to get off @ the island. Especially since the schedule has changed so that the bar stop is after the lunch break. We are already drunk & have been naughty. So to try to behave at the bar is a bit difficult. I would rather continue the Party at the lunch stop or on the Boat. I agree with Pitbull, "Don't Stop The Party!" K@
From our point of view, we do not leave the TTR compound except for the Boobs Cruise. The fact that we stop at isla mujeres means that we don't have to spend any time on other days doing the shopping thing. Last year, there was not too much moving around on the boat compared to previous years. At both stops, it was nice to hang with others that weren't in our vicinity on the boat.
I have only been on one Boob Cruise and the second stop did absolutely nothing for me. I sat down in the first bar I found (I just followed everyone else) and sat down for a cold drink. I did not venture out into the city because we didn't have much time and I didn't want to get lost by myself (because I was traveling on my own). I would have much rather stayed longer for the snorkeling/swimming and at the first stop where we had the wonderful lunch buffet. I didn't participate in the games, but laid in a beach hammock and had the most relaxing part of my entire vacation. The beach was absolutely beautiful and the food was much better than at my resort. I could have stayed THERE all week!!
not sure what the new boat has now but last December's boat had very low railings on the sides of the boat. Prior years boat's had high railings so everyone was standing, dancing and whipped creaming each other instead of sitting. That also made for a better time on the last leg going back to TTR. Marlene does not sail well but at least she could stand and lean on the railings where as last year she had to sit the whole time. It took a little (not much) convincing to get her to say yes to this year's cruise.
We would vote no to the downtown stop but if others on the boat want to stop it is okay. Really doesn't matter but more time on the boat is never a bad thing (I think). Sometimes it is hard to remember.
