Have been on a couple of cruises and we would like to go somewhere shallower for the skinny dipping. I think others have made the same comment in previous posts.
Thanks for the comments and votes. It's quite a bit closer than I thought it might be so far. I have heard this mentioned before but it is a tough one to deliver. The boat needs at least 5 feet of water otherwise it would touch bottom, and we need to allow a couple of feet over and above that to allow for waves so 7 feet minimum which is too deep for anyone to stand. The place we go now is about 8-10 feet deep. We also need to make sure that the water is nice and clear and there are only a couple of places where it is absolutely the best and private. The only other alternative is to dock the boat and then skinny dip from the beach. All beaches are public and we get in trouble if we have 40 naked people running down a public beach to get in the water. There's actually a group of Isla Mujeres prudish expats, who think they own the island, looking to restrict our cruises and complain at every opportunity. we will go either way definatly not a trip anyone wants to miss. Keep the party going!! We only get a chance at this once a year because it wouldn't fly here at home!!!
We have the same opinion as the posts above so are not going to vote one way or the other... It really comes down to the party of the day. When the live band was there on our last cruise, everyone had a blast. Sorry we are not much help Steve but we will see you guys in a few weeks!
Being that we have only done one cruise so far, it was nice to stop and see what Isla has to offer, but would now prefer to keep partying on the boat.
our thoughts are along the line of "cancun's most interesting man's". we like hanging at the island bar also. gets you a chance to catch up with some of the people off a crowded boat. don't need or care about souvenirs.so if it was eliminated for more party time on board, we are cool with that. totally understand that some people need to get off the boat to get their legs back under them. so i guess we are another no vote. we would go on steves Boobs Cruise even if he stayed tied up to the dock at TTR. these crazy men and janet know how to keep the good times rolling. october 26th can't get here soon enough.
I'm sure this is a hard call but even on our first Boobs Cruise I wasn't to hip to downtown but the 'break' at that the buffet place was great!
vote I vote not to stop on the island , would prefer little longer stop on the beach/games/lunch area.. but I do understand newbies might prefer to see it, did enjoy the times when we did the golf buggy safaris though xx
Downtown or Not First off, can't wait for the trip on the 30th! This will be our second Boob's cruise and while we did enjoy the downtown part, we could sure skip it now as we are planning on spending a full day there this trip. Bottom line, it has to do with the folks on board and what they want to do. Once in Cancun, we are so in tune to going with the flow and not having any real itinerary, it just doesn't matter! How is that for an ambiguous answer!
