I agree... You won't have time to think about being sick with all that's going on. Lol. I have been seasick before (no fun), but didn't take anything last year on the Boobs Cruise and was fine. The water is smooth, yes, but I've heard snorkeling could be a culprit, too, so keep that in mind . Hope you're enjoying the beautiful island! Can't wait for our cruise!! Jackie
We messed up and didnt go on a Boobs Cruise back in june but sick or no sick now that weve been there and heard how fun they are we will be doin boob cruises everytime we visit Temptation.
I've heard that too. I had no problem on the Boobs Cruise, but felt a bit sick when we did a whole day snorkelling at Xel-Ha (granted stupidly I was up extremely late drinking the night before). Somebody back at work who does a lot of sea swimming told me that motion of water, coupled with inevitably swallowing some of it or getting it in your mouth can make you sick. It was too rough to snorkel and I didn't do the swim thing on the Boobs Cruise and felt fine all day.
You have to be a decent swimmer to snorkel on the Boobs Cruise, as the water does a good push and pull on you. People climb back onto the boat quite tired. Something to keep in mind when you are drunk and a dip in the ocean sounds like a good thing during the cruise.
We were really stable on the boat used for the Boobs Cruise back in April, and the water was running a bit rough then, too. Not horrible, but semi-rough. Here is a thought though. I bet y'all weren't drinking as much on the whale shark tour as you WILL be on the Boobs Cruise. Alcohol is a depressant and it depresses all kinds of nervous signals, including sensation based things, i.e. seasickness. That may just help, along with not being out to sea so far.
Boy and Girl are right, the two aren't really comparable. With the whale shark tour you go way beyond Isla Mujeres into open seas on a fast, single hulled boat that holds about 10-12 people. With the Boobs Cruise, we use a catamaran (two hulls, so much more stable) that holds 60 and we only cruise the sheltered area of ocean between the island and the mainland. We do occasionally have people who feel sick (fewer that are actually sick), it largely depends on the weather. But on most of the trips it's often no one gets sick and rarely more than 2 or 3 people (out of average 50 or so people per trip).
And let's remember an important party tip. Not to chase that buzz to quick it's a marathon not a race.
My Husband gets seasick on about any kind of boat (carnival rides really kick his a$$). We get scopolamine (script from the Dr.) He has had no trouble on any trips including fishing boats and the trip to Isla Contoy.
We were given Ginger Root capsules on a catamaran cruise we took once in Maui and we swear by it! It's cheap and doesn't make you drowsy. Which reminds me, gotta get to Wal-mart and get some more before next week!
